Defragmentation

As files get created and deleted from your hard drive they get fragmented. That means that a file that your computer is loading could be scattered in pieces in different areas about the drive resulting in very poor reading performance. Read about it in our article on Defragmentation.

Getting the most from IDE/ATA

Most motherboards come with two IDE controllers (A primary and a secondary) some motherboards have an IDE RAID controller built on.  The links below give you all the information you need to get the most out of the drive components you already have and what peripherals you can buy to really speed things up!
