All about ASP

If you are familliar with Visual Basic you are in luck, ASP is based on VB. ASP is a very robust and easy to use language. It is also very flexible meaning that you can code quickly without having to work with strict formatting requirements.

ASP for the most part has been backwards compatible as it has evolved ove the years. You can expect ASP to continue in its popularity and now with the .NET initiative it will be even more powerful.

In comparison to PHP, ASP does not come with nearly as many built-in tools or utilities. To get these tools you will need to buy them from 3rd party companies such as Server Objects, Browser Hawk, and Software Artisans.
