Volume LicensingBy Joshua Erdman Microsoft has created four separate volume licensing plans to help customers organize their licenses, stay up to date, and recieve savings and services. These programs vary by features, services and requirements. Below is a table that describes the features of each Licensing Plan.
We will be focusing on the Microsoft Open License Plan. It is an easy, cost-effective way to acquire Microsoft software. Individuals with as few as five computers can save money by purchasing through the Open License Program. The Open License program includes a two or three-year agreement that can save you money on subsequent purchases. The Select License, Enterprise Agreement, and the Enterprise Subscription Agreement Plans are designed for large, multi-national companies. As you can guess, any company of this size would have programmers and a licensing professional on staff.
