However, Software Assurance is offered as a 2-year option. In short, Open Business is the method to buy things as low cost as possible without paying extra for the benefits of Open Value (Employee Purchase Program, Training, Home Use Licensing, etc.). Other than the difference in benefits, some businesses choose Open Value because they are allowed to make 3 annual payments for the licensing costs, Open Business requires full payment up front. If you are concerned about obtaining upgrades to keep your software current you have two options.
